Dr Ed Madeley qualified with First Class Honours from Cardiff University in his native Wales. Whilst studying Ed was awarded the Andrew Gerard Memorial Prize for the most clinically outstanding student; and upon graduation was awarded the Alumni Arts Prize as the student who had provided most to the course both academically and socially.

Following graduation Ed worked in a mixed NHS and Private practice in South Wales, before relocating to Dublin in 2010. During this time Ed secured his membership with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

After 7 years in private practice in Dublin Ed returned to Trinity College Dublin to complete his 3-year full time clinical docturate in Periodontology and Implantology before returning to specialist private practice. Following this Ed gained his fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.

Dr Ed lectures both in Ireland and internationally on the subject of Periodontontology (gum disease) and dental implants.

Dr Rory Boyd graduated from Trinity College Dublin with honours. He then completed a one year post as a House Officer in Dublin Dental University Hospital. Dr Boyd then went to work in general practice in Belfast, during which time he completed his membership examinations to the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.

Dr Boyd then completed a doctorate of clinical dentistry in prosthodontics in Dublin Dental University. During this time Dr Boyd completed an externship at them Jerry Weintraub Centre for Reconstructive Biotechnology (UCLA Prosthodontics Department).

Following completion of his specialist training in prosthodontics Dr Boyd had the privilege of taking over the longstanding prosthodontic practice of Dr William Davis and also completed his fellowship examinations to the Royal College of Surgeons Ireland.

In 2019 Dr Boyd became the President of the Irish Dental Association Metropolitan branch and currently sits on the Irish Dental Association committee. Dr Boyd has presented at both international and domestic conferences, and is committed to routinely providing further training for the profession.

Greg graduated in 2011 from the Dublin Dental School & Hospital, Trinity College Dublin. Following this, he worked in rural practices in the north of Scotland and on the Orkney Islands. On returning to Ireland in 2013, Greg relocated to Galway, working in general practice. Throughout this time, he developed a passion for the field of Endodontics and completed a three-year Masters program in this discipline at Kings College London. Greg currently operates a practice limited to Endodontics in both Dublin and Galway. He is a committee member of the Irish Endodontic Society, as well as a member of the European Society of Endodontology (ESE). Greg regularly partakes in continuous dental education, with a specific focus on Endodontic treatment in Ireland. Outside of Dentistry, Greg is a keen musician and sports man.

Dr David graduated as a dentist from Trinity College Dublin and then spent several years working in general practice. He spent two further years in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery departments in the UK and Ireland. He undertook his full time three-year specialist training in Periodontology and Implant dentistry in Trinity College Dublin graduating with a first class honours Doctorate. He also completed the FFD Periodontology specialist examinations in the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. He is currently in practice limited to Periodontics and Implant dentistry. David undertakes a full range of periodontal and implant procedures. He also lectures nationally and internationally.
Outside of Periodontics and Implant dentistry, David is a keen runner and musician.

Dr Ioanna Politi qualified with First Class Honours from Trinity College Dublin. Upon graduation she received numerous awards including the “Sheldon Friel Prize for 1st place in final examinations”, the “Dental Council Prize for the best results in Oral Surgery” as well as the Irish Dental Association Prize for the highest results across 5 years of dental school.

Following graduation, Ioanna accepted the position of Junior House Officer in the Dublin Dental University Hospital. During that year she completed the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland membership examinations receiving “The Faculty of Dentistry RCSI Prize” for the highest result in the Diploma examination. Ioanna then moved to London to work for two years as a Senior House Officer in oral and maxillofacial surgery in King’s College Hospital and London North West Healthcare Trusts. She relocated to Dublin in 2021 to return to Trinity College Dublin and complete a clinical doctorate in Periodontology.

Ailbhe Brennan has been a hygienist for over 13 years, she qualified with honours from UCC in 2OO6. She is passionate in her role and provides expert care to her patients. Ailbhe creates individual treatment plans for each patient, as every patient is unique and has different needs. She is gentle and has the ability to put most patients at ease. Her role as hygienist is to treat patients with gum and periodontal disease and to help them to manage their oral health themselves through education and demonstration. With her dedication and skill she will have you at your dental best in no time.
